My name is Rebecca Saunders and I am an Authorised Marriage Celebrant, based in Launceston, Tasmania.
After raising our three boys to be self-sufficient (sort of) I decided it was time to try something new for myself.
Years ago I had a conversation with a really good friend about becoming a marriage celebrant and I started thinking that perhaps the time had come.
And so, I embarked on my own journey and now that I have numerous ceremonies under my belt, I know with 100% certainty that this has been the right choice for me. I love the idea of helping people fulfil their dreams and it would be an honour for me to be a part of your special day.
I’m happy to perform ceremonies state-wide, so give me a call or send me a message.
First, we would schedule an initial meeting to introduce ourselves and have a chat about what your dream wedding looks like.
Second, lock in your date! The wedding season is relatively short and bookings are usually filling up quickly.
I am available 7 days a week and will travel to your location. It is my goal to work with you to create your own personal and uniquely different ceremony.

TICK OFF A CHECKLIST
Your Celebrant Buddy completes a checklist with guidance from Rebecca. She will help your Celebrant Buddy build the ceremony from start to finish.
STEP 3
PICK YOUR PACKAGE
- Legals are done in the week prior to your ceremony.
- Legals are completed the same day before or after your ceremony.
- Legals are completed during your ceremony.

First of all thank you so much for being such an integral part of our day, having someone like you there to share the day with and to make sure everything ran smoothly was such an important role to play! We have received many compliments on how amazing you were.
Alex spoke so well, as we knew he would, but we know that is largely down to the support and guidance you gave him. We could not have asked for a more perfect ceremony and that is down to you working around our unusual requests and ‘way too relaxed’ attitude to things. I think it was our fate to wait all this extra time, it was a perfect day.

A civil marriage celebrant is authorised by the government to perform legal civil marriages in a dignified and culturally acceptable manner, for those who choose a non-religious ceremony.
As such, as a celebrant, I have legal responsibilities I must follow. These rules are contained within the Marriage Act 1961 and the Marriage Regulations 2017 (including the Code of Practice for marriage celebrants).
In Australia authorised marriage celebrants may also conduct other celebrations such as naming ceremonies, vow renewal, funerals, divorce, significant birthday, retirement and other life milestones.

Riley & I knew within the first five minutes of meeting Rebecca we were locking her in! Very easy going, family orientated and wanted our day to be OUR DAY!
