Rebecca Saunders Marriage Celebrant Launceston Hobart Tasmania

My name is Rebecca Saunders and I am an Authorised Celebrant, based in Launceston, Tasmania.

My name is Rebecca Saunders, and I am an Authorised Celebrant based in beautiful Launceston, Tasmania.

After raising our three boys to be mostly self-sufficient (well… most of the time!), I decided it was my turn to begin a new chapter. What started as a casual conversation with a dear friend about becoming a celebrant soon grew into something much more, a calling I simply couldn’t ignore.

With several years of experience now behind me, I have had the privilege of standing beside countless couples and families during some of the most important moments of their lives.

Along the way, I’ve collected not only beautiful memories, but also plenty of fun and heartfelt stories from happy tears and nervous giggles to perfectly timed surprises and unforgettable celebrations.

I’m happy to perform ceremonies state-wide, so give me a call or send me a message.

Let’s Get Started!

First, we would schedule an initial meeting to introduce ourselves and have a chat about what your dream wedding looks like.

Second, lock in your date! The wedding season is relatively short and bookings are usually filling up quickly.

I am available 7 days a week and will travel to your location. It is my goal to work with you to create your own personal and uniquely different ceremony.

Good evening Rebecca,

First of all thank you so much for being such an integral part of our day, having someone like you there to share the day with and to make sure everything ran smoothly was such an important role to play! We have received many compliments on how amazing you were.

Alex spoke so well, as we knew he would, but we know that is largely down to the support and guidance you gave him. We could not have asked for a more perfect ceremony and that is down to you working around our unusual requests and ‘way too relaxed’ attitude to things. I think it was our fate to wait all this extra time, it was a perfect day.

Thank you so much, again.

Authorised Marriage Celebrants

A Commonwealth-registered marriage celebrant plays an important role in our communities.

A civil marriage celebrant is authorised by the government to perform legal civil marriages in a dignified and culturally acceptable manner, for those who choose a non-religious ceremony.

As such, as a celebrant, I have legal responsibilities I must follow. These rules are contained within the Marriage Act 1961 and the Marriage Regulations 2017 (including the Code of Practice for marriage celebrants).

In Australia authorised marriage celebrants may also conduct other celebrations such as naming ceremonies, vow renewal, funerals, divorce, significant birthday, retirement and other life milestones.
